Rare Weeping Serbian Spruce with Purple Cones

While the name 'Berliner's Weeper WB' suggests that it may weep, it appears to be small, dense and compact instead. 'Berliner's Weeper WB' was found as a witches' broom on a weeping Serbian spruce selection called 'Berliner's Weeper'. It appears to have the same great silver backsides to the needle as its "parent". It also has the same spectacular purple cones as it matures, which makes this Serbian spruce a miniature for a small ornamental garden. 'Berliner's Weeper WB' may reach 1-1.5 ft in height and width in 10 years. The second photo of cones is of ‘Berliner’s Weeper’, not the WB. We are using it to show you the color of the cones on ‘Berliner’s Weeper WB’.
