'Nigra Compacta'

'Nigra Compacta' is the centerpiece to our part sun butterfly garden. The needles are dark green but also have a blue tint as well. The texture is gorgeous! I'm looking forward to watching it grow!

She’s definitely a beauty!

I planted this tree 2 years ago in zone 6b/7a NE Oklahoma. She is in part time full sun. Late afternoon she’s in shade. She has a fabulous sheen and lovely way of carrying her branches. Doing extremely well and showing off how gorgeous she is. Yes, she grows slow but puts it on quite nicely with no problems whatsoever to date. Unlike most conifers she whispers to you when she’s thirsty. If you love conifers grab this one! She’s very well behaved💚
