'Pendula' is a selection of male ginkgo introduced in Belgium in the late 1800's. Branches may grow horizontal at first but often become more and more spreading with age. 'Pendula' will reach 8-9 ft in 15 years with an umbrella like form. Fall color is a bright school bus yellow. Ginkgo are heat tolerant, salt tolerant, and very cold tolerant making them one of the hardiest of all plants.
