Ophiopogon planiscapus ‘Nigrescens’ is a low-growing, evergreen ornamental perennial known for its striking deep purple-black foliage. Growing 6–10 inches tall, it forms slow-spreading clumps and produces small pale pink flowers in summer followed by dark berries. It thrives in full sun to part shade with well-drained soil and is ideal for borders, rock gardens, groundcover, and containers.
