One of the most breathtaking maples in existence is 'Amber Ghost'. It sprouts in early spring with coral pink leaves, intricately veined in green. Unlike other plants that are named for their spring or fall colors, 'Amber Ghost' is named after its mid-summer hues. During this season, the leaves turn a luscious amber, with deep green reticulation. As autumn nears, the colors shift to bright oranges and fiery reds. This maple tree grows up to 8-10ft, in a semi-pendulous habit, over 15 years. It's best suited for zones 5 through 9.
