How to Protect Your Japanese Maple from Frost

Today on this episode Tim & Matt go over techniques they use to prepare your plant for the upcoming Winter months. Never use plastic bags to cover your Japanese maple, we recommend using any type of breathable fabric or burlap if your tree is at a stage where it needs to be protected from frost. Also if your tree is not established enough, you may want to include a tomato cage around it to ensure it doesn't get crushed by the fabric if it snows. While preparing for a frost, don't spray water on your plants prior to it!
