Fargesia rufa 'Sunset Glow' is a cold hardy clumping bamboo. Clumping means that this isn't your typical running bamboo that will take over your yard. 'Sunset Glow' will stay in its place. 'Sunset Glow' will get 6.5- 12 ft in height with clumps that will often get wider than they are tall. Give 'Sunset Glow' lime to brighten the culm sheaths and make this bamboo more showy.
Fargesia rufa is native to Ganshu and Sichuan at high elevations of 3000-8000ft making it a great cold hardy clumping bamboo for the landscape.
