This dormant tree is a healthy good size 1 gallon. From experience the Black Gums I’ve received from Mr Maple do incredibly well! I bought Red Vain and Zydeco Twist from Mr Maple as well. The trees take off once established and are gorgeous! Strongly recommend!

I was stunned when I saw the box in the driveway as I pulled up. How on earth are there 11 trees in 1 gal pot in that? Did I miss order, and they are in 4" pots? I quickly opened the box and the packing was sheer genius!!!!! I could not believe it and every tree was in perfect condition and very happy. I am very happy and will order again.

I ordered this tree late in the season, so it was dormant. Then because we had such a warm winter in Texas, it actually put out a handful of leaves. I have enjoyed this tree so much! The leaves are a larger, deep maroon. I put it in the greenhouse in late December, and the leaves are now turning the most beautiful shade of fire engine red. I can hardly wait for spring to see what this tree does in the upcoming year.
